Beverly Powers was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware where she currently resides near her daughter, Jevonia; son-in-law, Phil; and three adorable grandchildren, Rayel, Yana, and Jackson.
She loves working with children and youth building self-esteem in them as they develop into the well-rounded super heroes that they are. She was given the name, “Dust Fairy” during her basic training while in the Air Force or making her fellow airmen laugh through the various eye opening “life adjustments,” they faced. She brings out that “dust fairy” humor in many of her characters and scripts. Beverly was featured in local newspapers and newsletters for her reading program with some of the community children. She has written and directed puppet skits and plays for her local church.
Beverly is a member of the SCBWI as well as a few writers’ and critique groups.
She loves to travel and spending time with family, friends, and fairy characters! She enjoys writing, reading, and meeting interesting people. Please visit Beverly’s blog at www.BeverlyPowers.com or email her at msbevjpowers@gmail.com.
