Deborah Matthews is an Emergency Care Coordinator with Adult Protective Services under the
State of Delaware’s Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities. She provides coordination of emergency care and supports to clients who are alleged victims of abuse or neglect; including coordinating placement at a hotel or facility, emergency personal attendant services, food, etc. When working with alleged victims, a service plan is developed that provides a safety road map guide for the client.
Deborah has a diverse human service background working in the non-profit and for-profit arenas working for community organizations such as Adult Protective Services, United Cerebral Palsy, Independent Resource Inc., Division of Mental Retardation, Community Systems, Community Interactions, ResCare Voca, Children Home Inc., Independent Living Inc., New Hope for Women, Mary Campbell Center and Visiting Nurses Association, in various positions as a program compliance specialist, liaison, case manager, transition specialist, independent living specialist, residential counselor, advocate, public relations, nurses aid and community connector.
She is a committed public servant with 30+ years of experience and dedication to the work of human service organizations. From her love, passion, and desire to see the needs of others met with kindness, compassion and dignity. She founded and birthed Kingdom Connectors Inc., in the State of Delaware in 2016 and currently in the process of getting KCI 501c3 Federal status along with being incorporated in the State of New Jersey.
Her educational and personal development achievements consist of attending Delaware State College majoring in Nursing/Human Service and she is currently pursuing her education at Springfield College majoring Human Service. Deborah has also extensive educational trainings in Community Capacity Building at Cumberland County College, and business development at Chester Microenterprise, Wilmington Economic Development, Delaware Women Business Center and Delaware State University School of Management. She has also participated in John Maxwell Leadership training and Tamara Lowe’s “GET MOTIVATED” seminars and received certificates of completion.
Deborah heart desire is to be a community liaison/connector that collaborates with community resources that assist Pastors, their congregants and guests with the resources as they navigate through life challenging situations.
