Jeff has been a member of Alpha Baptist Church, Willingboro NJ, since 2003, where he serves under Sr. Pastor, Rev. Dr. Danny E. Scotton, Sr. Jeff answered God’s call to teach His word in 1997, while attending New Mickle Baptist Church, Camden, NJ under the leadership Pastor Donnie Garris, where he taught middle school bible classes every Sunday morning. It was at that time, Jeff realized, that teaching God’s word kept him in God’s book. Jeff’s thirst for the word continue to grow. By the time, Jeff joined Alpha Baptist Church, his gift for teaching was immediately noticed as him and his wife became the youth bible study teachers. As he continued to grow spiritually, so did his thirst for God’s word. To quench that thirst Jeff attended Grace Bible Institute, Vorhees NJ. Shortly thereafter, he attended Philadelphia Biblical University, (now Cairn University) in Langhorne, PA.
Jeff currently is the Sr. High School Bible Teacher at Alpha Baptist Church as well as a Certified Evangelical Training (ETA) teacher, where he teaches “Growing Towards Spiritual Maturity” and “20th Century Evangelism”. Jeff has been an ordained Deacon since 2001, where he served under Pastor David L. Wynn, (Holy Trinity African Baptist Church), Edgewater Park, NJ. He received a Certification in Biblical Studies and Theology from Princeton Seminary in 2018, where he studied inside & along side residents of Garden State Correctional Facility. Jeff’s growing concern for the mass incarceration of our men, led him to serve on the “Counting the Cost” committee led by Assembly women Bonnie Watson Coleman-NJ, which introduced Public Safety and Reentry bills which shaped the transformation of how both men & women are treated in our NJ’s Correctional facilities.
Jeff helped start the prison ministry at Alpha Baptist Church, called Orange Harvest, where he and others currently hold church service and minister to the residents at the Burlington County Jail in Mt. Holly, NJ.
Jeff is a born-again believer, his favorite scripture is Ephesians 6:12. He knows that believers are in a spiritual battle, their enemy is invisible, but the armour we use in this battle is Divine.
