Matthew Aarons

Matthew Aarons is a gospel songwriter and pianist from Palm Beach, Florida. His latest single – MY PEACE is scheduled for release on February 20th, 2018. MY PEACE is a true gospel song inspired by the words of Jesus in St. John 14:27, is an original composition that lets every listener know that true peace is available in Jesus Christ! Matthew’s love for gospel and classical music; and his friendship with producer – Kirby D. Trim, led to the gospel-meets-classical style that MY PEACE is wrapped in.

Matthew Aarons was born in St. Ann’s Bay Jamaica to parents Howard and Violet Aarons, and was raised in a Christian home. They attended Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church. Music became a part of Matthews life at a very young age. By age 5 he began playing drums at his local church and sang in the children’s choir.  At age 14, his family migrated to Clifton, New Jersey in the United States where he soon grew to love the piano, and began playing the piano on his own.  Later his family moved to Palm Beach, Florida where Matthew attended Santaluces High school. He joined the marching band where he learned to read music and played in the drumline.

In 2006, his father became pastor of Pentecostal Tabernacle of West Palm Beach, where Matthew became music director at age 19.  During this transition he was exposed to vocal harmony and music theory while teaching the choir and praise team. Matthew attended Palm Beach State College participating in jazz band where he learned fundamentals and the basic music theory of jazz composers such as Bud Powell, Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, and Thelonius Monk.  Matthew graduated with an Associate’s degree in Network Administration in 2010.

MY PEACE will be available for purchase on Amazon, iTunes, GooglePlay Music, and CdBaby on February 20th, 2018.
